Alex Via is a 5’10’’ 160 lb. 2025 out of Bend OR attending Summit High School. Medium, athletic build that will continue to grow into his frame and add strength. Primary pitcher from the right side.  Looks to dominate hitters with a fastball that has tons of life. Works from the wind up and the stretch with good, rhythmic tempo.  Has a big front side and a low arm slot.  Mixes pitches well with his fastball up to 92 and a hard slider in the upper 70’s.

Plays a dependable outfield as well.  Has enough speed to cover the gaps and obviously has an arm that plays out there.

Right-handed, gritty hitter.  Starts with a wide base and high hand location.  Gets his barrel in the zone early and keeps it there.  Maintains a bat path that makes him a high-contact rate hitter and a tough out. A fiery competitor that will compete.

Committed to the University of Portland.
