What Is The League
Prepare/Play In August
Jim Coffman - Oakland Athletics Scout
The Northwest Summer League is designed to provide athletes with high-level game opportunities at premier university venues throughout the Pacific Northwest. This experience helps players prepare for key recruiting events such as USA Baseball, Baseball Northwest, PAC NW, Prep Baseball Report (PBR) showcases, and college camps both regionally and nationally.
In addition to advancing their recruiting exposure, the league keeps athletes actively learning and competing during the best time of year for baseball in Washington and Oregon.

Event Conflict Avoidance
The Northwest Summer League schedule is designed to avoid conflicts with major national and regional recruiting events. Specifically, the league will not interfere with:
PAC NW Regional Games
PBR Junior Futures Games and Future Games at LakePoint Sports Complex (Emerson, GA)
Baseball Northwest Championships
USA Baseball National Team Identification Series (NTIS) events in Cary, NC
If these events follow timelines similar to 2024, participating athletes will be able to attend both without overlap.
Play for College Coaches
All coaches will be DI-Community College coaches. Each doubleheader camp will be coached/instructed by college coaches at their respective universities during their team camps. The Division 1 Baseball “Quiet Period” is mid-August thru mid-September (2025 Recruiting calendar not posted). What is a quiet period? During a quiet period, a college coach may only have face-to-face contact with college-bound student-athletes or their parents on the college's campus. A coach may not watch student-athletes compete (unless a competition occurs on the college's campus) or visit their high schools.
