Asher is a good kid and a natural competitor. He embraces his role as a left-handed pitcher and shows the kind of mound presence that sets him apart. His willingness to challenge hitters and compete every pitch is a defining trait.

On the mound, Asher throws from a ¾ delivery with a little funkiness to it, which creates deception. His fastball comes with arm-side sink and good velocity for his size. He commands the glove-side part of the plate well and isn’t afraid to go inside on right-handed hitters. The changeup is thrown with the same arm slot as the fastball, keeping hitters off balance. His curveball is a quality offering that he throws with confidence. He fills up the strike zone, mixes speeds, and produces weak contact. He also fields his position well, showing athleticism and awareness.
