Player Write Up

Postlewait is a 2029 grad out of Crescent Valley High school in Corvallis Oregon.  A middle infielder with polished tools and the ability to make plays.  Proper glove actions and footwork put him in the best position to make plays from both middle infield spots.  Still growing and developing but has the makeup to be a solid player at the next level.

As a pitcher Ben is still growing and maturing, however, he is very mechanically gifted.  He doesn’t try to be someone he is not on the mound and uses great control to extend the strike zone and make hitters work very hard for their knocks.  Strong fastball and off-speed command make him expected to be a high-volume strike thrower as he continues to grow.

As a hitter he has great hand eye coordination and a very high barrel rate.  Starting with a high hand open stance he has a strong ability to get his high leg kick down in sequence with where the pitch is at.  Sprays balls all over the field and naturally generates lift and back spin.  Strong line drive swing and a top of the order mentality at the plate. One of the toughest, grittiest, hard working players in the class.
