Blake has a big, tall frame and a positive attitude. He wants to be great and already carries the presence of a future pitcher with upside. His build gives him projection, and his demeanor shows maturity.

On the mound, Blake throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a two-part leg kick that keeps hitters off balance. He throws a heavy fastball with good velocity, and when he stays on top of it, the slider is tight and effective. Adding a changeup to his repertoire will give him another quality pitch. He has shown the ability to pitch out of tough jams, including bases-loaded situations. The next step is attacking hitters with more confidence, controlling the zone earlier, and consistently getting ahead with strike one.
