Blake is a 6’4’’ 175 lb. giant presence on the field, both physically and in the way he carries himself. He’s a good-vibe kid who lifts up his teammates with positive energy and confidence. He has a disciplined approach but still has room for growth, and as he learns to use his size to his full advantage, his ceiling rises even higher.

On the mound, Blake shows upside. He throws from a low three-quarters arm slot that creates deception, pairing a good curveball with a fastball that has natural rise. He locates glove-side effectively and shows easy velocity, which suggests there is more velo in the tank as he continues to develop. He can throw his off-speed pitches well, and his unique arm slot adds to the challenge hitters face.

At the plate, Blake makes hard contact consistently. He barrels balls up the middle, hits to the opposite field, and has already delivered in clutch situations, including a walk-off hit and rally-starting at-bats. He swings it well for his size, and with continued development, his power will become an even bigger weapon.

On the bases, Blake doesn’t have standout speed and knows he needs to add quickness, but he still hustles and competes. As he learns to better use his athletic build, his base running will become more impactful, complementing his abilities on the mound and at the plate.
