Diego Lopez is a 5’8’’ 150 lb. 2027 out of Bend OR and attends Ridgeview High School. Medium framed build with present strength with room for more. Primary middle infielder with elite body control. Moves well laterally with good footwork and glove presentation. Works through the ball with timing and momentum behind his throw. Plenty of arm strength for any position.

On the mound, sits consistently in the upper 70’s with his fastball and mixes in a slider to keep hitters honest. Heavy strike thrower that rarely leaves pitches in the middle of the plate. Delivery is effortless, repeatable and gets down the mound with ease. His athleticism translates well to fielding his position and fielding balls most other pitchers don’t.

Right-handed hitter who looks to do damage from the start. Deliberate in working his hands inside the ball and lives between the gaps. Twitchy movement in this load with a small leg kick and quick hands. Remains balanced and creates extension in a small amount of space. High IQ player with the ability to run the bases. Excellent student.

Diego has an athletic build and plays with strength, quickness, and a gamer mentality. He steps up in big situations, showing leadership qualities at shortstop and setting the tone for his team.

In the field, he’s a vocal leader with smooth hands and a strong arm. His footwork and range allow him to handle the middle with confidence. He plays aggressively, picks cleanly, and consistently makes tough plays look routine.

At the plate, Diego has a good hand slot and explosive bat speed. His swing is powerful and quick through the zone, producing consistent barrels. He drives the ball with authority and shows extra-base potential to all fields.

On the bases, Diego shows strong baseball IQ. He gets good jumps, steals bags, and uses speed to put constant pressure on opposing defenses.
