Drew Wicklander is a 6’1’’ 175 lb. 2026 out of Bonney Lake WA attending Sumner High School.  Has added obvious strength producing a muscular build. A utility player defensively and has the athleticism to play where needed.  Primary infielder but played the outfield at the NWSL.  As an infielder, inside out set up which gets the ball to this glove side.  Generates tempo through the ball and has quick delivery produced by a short arm circle. (81 mph infield velocity)

Right-handed hitter with a narrow, athletic start with a high hand set.  Short leg kick producing forward momentum.  Good leverage off the front foot allows for sink into his back side.  Looks to do damage to pull side with a level bat path producing high exit velocities, 93.9 mph.

Works out of the wind up and the stretch on the mound.  Does a good job adjusting his infield delivery to a larger arm circle, generating additional natural whip.  Has a fastball slider mix that is effective in getting soft contact for easy outs.

Drew is a smooth athlete who plays with confidence and aggressiveness. He is a competitor who thrives in the infield and takes pride in his defense.

At shortstop, Drew is aggressive and not afraid to charge balls. He has lockdown ability, good hands, and shows dependable defense at second base as well.

At the plate, Drew has good timing and rhythm. He sees the ball deep, drives it the other way, and finds the barrel often. His swing is short, simple, and explosive, producing easy power. He shows a consistent ability to drive doubles into the gaps and maintains a disciplined approach.

On the bases, Drew is a good athlete who runs well. He is a smart baserunner, stealing bases with ease and putting constant pressure on defenses.
