Eli Reese possesses a medium athletic profile with noticeable strength gains from the previous year. His continued physical development has added to his overall athleticism and provides a strong foundation for continued growth as a player.

Offensively, Reese works from a slightly open stance with high hands and shows the ability to stay connected through his swing. He does a good job keeping his hands inside the baseball and creating quality contact to the pull side. His ability to consistently stay on plane and drive the ball will continue to improve as he develops his approach and strength.

Defensively, Reese has made noticeable improvements with his glove work from the previous year. His continued attention to defensive fundamentals and willingness to improve have allowed him to become a more reliable defender.

On the mound, Reese works from the middle of the rubber with a smooth, easy delivery and a short arm action that creates deception and makes him difficult for hitters to time. He works quickly and attacks hitters with a three-pitch mix featuring a fastball at 77-78 mph (T80), curveball at 69-70 mph, and changeup at 74 mph. His ability to change speeds and maintain tempo gives him the foundation to continue developing as a pitcher.
