Gavin Doyle is an outfielder with a medium athletic profile. He is a twitchy athlete that needs to continue developing his overall flexibility and strength. When he commits to the weight room, his tools as a player will dramatically increase.

Offensively, Gavin is a player who shows the ability to impact the game with his approach and competitiveness in the box. He continues to develop his offensive identity and has the tools to become a more consistent threat as he refines his approach. One noticeable strength is Gavin's speed. He has the ability to impact the game with his legs and when making calculated baserunning decisions, shows that he can take the next base.

At the plate, Doyle works from a relaxed stance and shows a willingness to attack the baseball. He currently shows a pull-side approach and has the ability to recognize pitches he can handle. Continuing to become more aggressive early in counts and improving his ability to use the entire field will help create a more complete offensive profile.

Doyle’s continued development will come from buying in to physical gains. His personality as a player is respected by his coaches and teammates and is a top-step player, always remaining engaged in the game and communicating pitch to pitch.
