Gus is a strong kid who plays with confidence.
At third base he shows good hands. He made a clean pick on a tag play and isn’t afraid to leave his feet. On the mound, he gets on the bump well and uses a good mix. The fastball has solid velocity. There’s clear room to improve with a more consistent arm slot and delivery, which will tighten his overall command profile.
He stands tall in the box with quick hands. The swing has real potential for power as strength continues to come.
He runs well with base-stealing ability. The first step is quick and he puts pressure on defenses when he’s on.
