Northwest Summer League

2025 Information Guide

As we approach the start of the 2025 Northwest Summer League, we want to take a moment to review a few important details to help ensure a smooth and successful experience for all involved. We are excited to welcome your athlete to this year’s league, which begins immediately after the conclusion of most regional youth baseball tournaments on July 21. Running from July 22 through the fall season, the NW Summer League fills a critical gap in competitive play, providing incoming 8th graders (Class of 2030) through incoming seniors (Class of 2026) with the opportunity to compete in high-level games and gain valuable innings against many of the top players in the Pacific Northwest.

Northwest Summer League Goals:

Provide additional playing time during August in optimal weather conditions.

  • Offer a true college baseball experience with games on D1 and D3 fields and instruction from college coaches.

  • Deliver high-quality baseball through 12 games and 8 practices between spring and fall seasons.

  • Reduce travel-related costs for families by offering a local, competitive summer alternative.

  • Help athletes prepare for Baseball Northwest and USA Baseball events.

  • Bring together top-tier talent from across the Northwest to compete and grow.

  • Foster development through structured practices and game environments.

  • Grow the game of baseball in the Pacific Northwest.

At 1:00PM will meet at the Beaverton Liberty Auditorium for the second half of the day. That location is being finalized and communicated to athletes and parents.

NW Baseball Association Call-A-Thon:

On Wednesday, July 30th, we will host the NW Summer League / Northwest Baseball Association Call-A-Thon at the Beaverton Library Auditorium from 2:30–3:30 PM. This fundraiser helps offset player fees and supports our nonprofit, which provides financial assistance to athletes across the PNW.

To date, the Northwest Baseball Association has contributed over $30,000 to help make NW Summer League participation accessible. This is in addition to what families have paid toward team fees.

Fundraiser Expectations:

  1. Fundraise for your family to offset the cost of the League (if you choose)

    • Whatever you fundraise, it can go directly to your family to support the cost of the League.

  2. Fundraiser for other families (League athletes or non League athletes) in need in varies programs throughout the year.

    • If you fundraiser over $2,500, we ask that you donate anything over the $2,500 to the NW Baseball Association.

    • If you choose to not fundraise for your family, we ask that the athlete fundraises up to $650 to support the NW Baseball Association.

    • If you choose not to do that Call-A-Thon entirely, that is a choice.

Uniform Script:

All athletes participating in the Northwest Summer League are expected to follow the designated uniform script each day. This includes wearing the assigned jersey, hat, pants, and any additional gear as outlined in the weekly schedule. Game jerseys and practice shirts must be tucked in at all times, and sunglasses should reside on the back of the hat when not worn on the athlete’s face. We expect athletes to pay close attention to details, not only in their on-field play, but also in how they present themselves in uniform. Adhering to the uniform script promotes team unity, reinforces professionalism, and ensures a consistent and organized appearance across all teams and events. Athletes who arrive out of uniform may be held out of play or asked to change before participating. We appreciate your attention to detail and commitment to representing the program the right way.
