Jacob Chandler is a 5’10’’ 185 lb. 2026 out of Vancouver WA and attends Union High School.  Primary 3B/RHP with quick feet and good hands at third. Works through the ball and keeps his feet moving.  Moves well laterally and a strong arm across the diamond.  Moves his body efficiently on plays from the outfield to get to the right spot.  

Aggressive base runner with good instincts. Quiet hands stay high at the plate. Transfer results in gap-to-gap line drive power.  Patient hitter with high contact rate.

Three pitch arsenal - fastball, slider, and breaking ball.  Fastball sits comfortably in the mid-upper 80’s. Works both sides of the plate well with the fastball and has deceptive velocity.  Curveball in the mid 60’s is effective by changing the hitter’s eye level and changing speeds.  The slider is a wipe out pitch that looks like a fastball until it’s not.  Finishes in a good fielding position. Great student, 4.0 GPA.

Jacob is a strong, tough kid with a good build and a determined presence. He brings resilience and confidence, playing the game with focus and maturity.

At third base, he shows dependable hands and a strong backhand. He fields cleanly and provides consistency at the hot corner. On the mound, Jacob works from a high ¾ arm slot with smooth arm action. His fastball has good velocity with arm-side run, and he commands the strike zone well. His changeup is a legitimate pitch, and he creates slight downhill angle. He mixes pitches and consistently challenges hitters.

Offensively, Jacob hits from a balanced stance and adjusts depending on the situation. He can hit for contact when needed or drive the ball for power. His short, quick swing allows him to hammer balls all over the field, producing consistent hard contact.

On the bases, Jacob is a good runner with solid speed. He can steal bases, gets good jumps, and pressures defenses with his athleticism.
