Jacoby Showers is a 2028 5’10’’ 135 lb. lefty/lefty out of Beaverton OR. High ceiling athlete with significant projection and upside. Possesses a smaller compact athletic build with a lot of upside. Primarily plays 1B and has a great feel for the position. Works around the bag with comfort and makes difficult plays look easy.

Left-handed pitcher with early separation producing a long action and whippy delivery. Has an over-the-top delivery and works from the stretch.  Mixes pitches well and shows confidence with off speed in any count, fastball tops at 67 mph.

Short compact swing that is direct to the ball. Barrel gets into the zone early producing high exit velo’s to all fields. Has a feel for keeping hands inside the ball and works the left side well, often having higher exit velo’s than pull side (68 mph).

Jacoby shows good instincts and plays the game with hustle. He takes pride in covering ground in center field and is always willing to lay out and sacrifice his body for the team. His energy and competitiveness make him a reliable defender and a spark for his teammates.

In the outfield, he has good routes and reads the ball well off the bat. He moves efficiently to both gaps and shows the quickness to track balls down. His willingness to dive in center highlights his effort and his confidence in his glove.

At the plate, Jacoby is a left-handed hitter who stands tall in the box. He flashes easy power when he fires his hands and has good bat-to-ball skills. His hands are reliable, and his ability to make contact consistently allows him to drive the baseball to all fields.

On the bases, Jacoby gets good jumps and takes solid leads. He is an aggressive runner and creates pressure, though refining his baserunning IQ will help him take full advantage of his speed.
