Kallen Mattila is 6’2’’ 180 lb. 2026 out of Scappoose OR attending Scappoose High School. Long limbed athletic build with present strength with continued growth expected. Has loose arm action and gets down the mound with ease. Comes at hitters with a 3/4 arm slot and isn’t afraid to challenge, regardless of count. Above the waist leg kick, with coil, creates torque during delivery. Fastball sits in the upper 70’s with a breaking ball that he throws often. Efficient in earning soft contact and easy outs for his defense. Excellent student, 4.10 GPA.

Kallen is a big kid with a strong frame and natural presence on the mound. His size and strength give him projection, and he plays with confidence.

On the mound, he throws from a ¾ arm slot with good velocity and a heavy fastball. He commands a three-pitch mix, throwing strikes and working ahead in counts. He has the ability to induce weak contact and rack up outs efficiently. His mechanics are smooth, and his potential as a pitcher is high.
