Kevin Carrieri is a 6’1’’ 200 lb. 2027 out of Forest Grove OR attending Forest Grove High School. Legitimate two-way college prospect with a lean athletic build, poised for continued growth. Primary left-handed pitcher polished beyond his age. Smooth and easy mechanics that appear methodical. His setup and delivery are repeatable movements resulting in being a heavy strike thrower. Fastball sits in the low 80’s and a breaking ball that compliments.

Left-hand hitter that belongs in the middle of the lineup. Wide, athletic set up with a high hand-set. Small leg lift with his load. Back knee drops leveraging behind the ball and assisting in getting bat on plane. Finds the barrel often and has deceiving power to the gaps.

Skill set provides opportunity in the outfield or at 1B. Earned 1st team honors as a freshman playing 1B. Demonstrates and understanding of the game at multiple positions. Plenty of the arm strength that plays in the outfield. Reads the ball well off the bat and is able to cover the gaps. Excellent student, 4.0.

Kevin is a strong kid with a powerful lower half and good toughness. He handles adversity well, is willing to sacrifice his body, and competes with grit. His resilience and determination make him a reliable teammate.

Defensively, Kevin plays first base with excellent glove skills. He picks the ball well, shows great instincts on drop steps into foul territory, and consistently provides a reliable target for his infielders.

At the plate, Kevin hits left-handed from a slightly open, wide stance. He has a good approach and generates easy power, consistently driving balls up the middle. He hits the ball hard with authority and creates plenty of backspin.

On the bases, Kevin is not the fastest runner, but he holds his own by getting good jumps and reads. His instincts help make up for the lack of pure speed.
