Liam Eldridge possesses a physically mature and strong frame with a solid foundation to continue developing as a player. He brings a serious approach to the game and understands the importance of preparation and competing at a high level.

Offensively, Eldridge works from a wide stance with an approach built around using the opposite field. His direct bat path allows him to consistently produce low line-drive contact, and when he keeps his hands connected through the zone, he shows the ability to create easy power. His developing opposite-field power is an intriguing part of his offensive profile as he continues to refine his approach.

Defensively, Eldridge is continuing to develop the fundamentals of playing first base. His size provides a natural presence at the position, and with continued repetition and refinement of his footwork and positioning, he has the opportunity to become a more reliable defender.

On the mound, Eldridge works from a low three-quarter arm slot and creates arm-side run while pitching to contact. His two-pitch mix features a fastball at 75-77 mph and slider at 67-70 mph. He shows the ability to compete in the zone and fields his position with control and confidence.

Eldridge’s makeup will continue to be an important part of his development. He takes baseball seriously and brings a mature approach to improving his game. As he continues to develop confidence and find more enjoyment in the process, his overall skill set and impact as a player should continue to grow.
