Heaphy, a 5'4", 110-pound 2027 prospect at Liberty High School (OR), has an athletic frame and offers impressive defensive versatility. He possesses the hands and footwork to handle the middle infield, while his speed and arm strength also make him effective in the outfield. Known for being extremely coachable, he’s a fantastic teammate who contributes on both sides of the game.

At the plate, Liam hits right-handed from a balanced, shoulder-width stance. His high hands move directly to the ball and stay through the zone well. He typically works middle-away but has the ability to drive the ball to the pull side when needed. His high baseball IQ allows him to consistently deliver in team-oriented at-bats, making him the kind of player you want at the plate when trying to manufacture runs.

On the mound, Liam is a reliable strike thrower, hitting the zone 60% of the time and effectively mixing speeds. His whippy arm action and upright finish help him get down the mound smoothly, and he’s steadily developing velocity, currently sitting at 68-70 mph topping out at 71.

Liam plays with hustle and a clear love for the game. He stays locked in, competes hard, and is a good teammate in the dugout. His energy and passion show in the way he carries himself.

Defensively, he moves well in the outfield and shows good gap-to-gap speed. His arm action is fluid, and the arm is live. He attacks balls aggressively and makes confident throws.

At the plate, he has a slightly open stance and is quick to the ball. He stays on top, finds the barrel, and has good timing. He is a consistent singles and contact hitter who knows how to get on base. As he adds strength and grows into his body, the power will follow.

On the bases, he runs well and hustles every play. His IQ still has room to improve, but his speed and effort allow him to create opportunities.
