Liam Heaphy has developed into a more complete player over the past two years as his tall, wiry frame has matured. His skill set has progressed alongside the physical growth, and there is still room for additional strength development. He brings a combination of athleticism, defensive ability, and baseball IQ that gives him a solid foundation for the next level.

Hitting: Heaphy works from a tall stance with loose, relaxed hands and brings an aggressive, violent swing through the zone with a two-handed finish. His current approach is primarily pull-side oriented, where he is beginning to show developing power. Encouragingly, he has made noticeable progress toward using the big part of the field. Continued development of that all-fields approach will be important in determining how consistently his raw power translates against better pitching.

Defense: The outfield may ultimately be his strongest present tool. Heaphy is a plus defender with accurate arm strength, efficient routes, and the ability to consistently track balls down. He understands positioning from hitter to hitter and communicates at a high level, giving him the profile of a dependable outfielder who can provide immediate defensive value.

Pitching: Heaphy works with good tempo and gets down the mound effectively, creating angle while consistently attacking the zone. His fastball sits 80-83 mph and is currently the primary offering. The slider ranges from 70-73 mph and has the shape that could develop into more of a sweeper as he continues to refine it. His ability to work quickly and fill the zone gives him a foundation to continue developing on the mound.

Makeup: Heaphy brings a competitive edge to every facet of the game. He is a high-effort player with a strong work ethic and advanced baseball IQ. His willingness to compete and continue improving should serve him well as the level of competition increases.

Overall: Heaphy's defensive ability, athleticism, and baseball IQ give him a strong foundation, with the bat representing an area of continued development. The offensive projection becomes particularly interesting if he can continue adding strength while maintaining his aggressive swing and improving his ability to use the entire field. His plus outfield defense and developing offensive upside make him a legitimate follow as he continues to mature.
