Luca Bartolucci possesses a medium athletic profile with noticeable gains in athleticism from the previous year. His continued development physically and athletically has allowed him to expand his overall skill set and become a more complete player.

Offensively, Bartolucci works from a slightly open, upright stance with low hands and continues to refine his approach at the plate. He intentionally works during practice by working to use the entire field and develop a more complete gap-to-gap approach. As his consistency and offensive understanding continue to grow, his ability to impact the game at the plate should continue to improve.

Defensively, Bartolucci has made significant strides after spending the summer playing shortstop on the tournament circuit. That experience has improved his range, arm strength, and overall defensive skill set at third base. His increased exposure to the middle infield has helped him become a more confident and versatile defender, giving him added value moving forward.

Bartolucci’s continued athletic development and willingness to challenge himself positionally are encouraging signs. His growth from year to year shows a player who is committed to improving and expanding his game.
