Michael Neumayer has made noticeable physical improvements from 2025 to 2026 and now presents a taller, more physical athletic profile with additional room to develop strength. The year-over-year progression is encouraging, and continued physical development should help his tools play at a higher level.

Offense: Neumayer works from a square stance with quick hands and currently shows a tendency to impact the baseball to the pull side. His hand speed gives him a foundation to produce quality contact, but developing a more complete gap-to-gap approach will be important as he continues to learn his offensive approach. Adding strength while maintaining his quickness should help increase his overall offensive arsenal.

Defense: Neumayer plays the infield with high energy and competes on every pitch. He has demonstrated the ability to consistently handle routine plays and, with his improved athleticism, has shown the ability to expand his range and make more difficult plays. His above-average arm strength gives him another defensive tool and provides flexibility in determining his eventual infield position.

Makeup: Neumayer brings high energy to the field and is well liked by both teammates and coaches. His enthusiasm and willingness to compete contribute positively to the overall environment of a team.

Overall: Neumayer's year-over-year physical progression is an encouraging indicator. His quick hands, above-average arm strength, improving athleticism, and energy give him a foundation to continue developing as an infielder. The primary offensive development point is expanding beyond the pull side and learning to consistently use the entire field.
