Ryder is a positive kid who competes with toughness and determination. He has shown the ability to battle under pressure and handle adversity well, maintaining composure in big moments. His hustle and energy make him a valuable presence on any team. He is first to grab foul balls when he’s not pitching and always stayed locked in during the game.

On the mound, Ryder attacks the zone and consistently lives low with a heavy fastball. He gets strike one often, keeping hitters on the defensive, and throws with a clean smooth arm motion. His firm fastball is paired with solid command, and although he still has room to grow fielding his position, he already shows competitiveness and poise. He throws his offspeed well but with more confidence and strength his slider and changeup will become weapons.
