Ryder Lopez is a high-energy athlete who approaches pitching with a serious mindset and a desire to continue improving. As he continues to learn his body, refine his mechanics, and develop consistency, he has the ability to become a pitcher who consistently gets ahead and creates early-count outs.

On the mound, Lopez possesses a medium athletic profile and shows intriguing traits in his delivery. He features a Walker Buehler-type delivery with a quick arm, long set, and ability to create different looks for hitters. His delivery provides deception, and he shows the ability to compete with confidence. His fastball sits 81-83 mph and is complemented by a curveball at 67-70 mph with good shape and feel. He shows the ability to adjust during outings, working through adversity and getting back to attacking the zone with confidence.
