Offense: Smith works from a wide stance and creates negative movement and stretch as he loads. He consistently produces hard low line-drive contact and uses his speed to put pressure on the defense. While his current contact profile is geared more toward line drives and utilizing his athleticism, he flashes the ability to barrel the baseball into the gaps and down the lines. He has shown the ability to accumulate extra-base hits and can impact a game strictly with his speed.

Defense: Smith profiles as a plus outfielder. His speed allows him to cover significant ground and track down balls in the gaps that other defenders may not reach. He pairs that range with a strong, accurate throwing arm, giving him the tools to provide legitimate defensive value. His athleticism and arm strength give him a strong defensive floor in the outfield.

Pitching: Smith works quick on the mound and uses the outside part of the plate to get hitters out. He presents a 3 pitch mix that features a four seam fastball, slider, and changeup.
