Sawyer is a natural leader who does everything right. The game comes easy to him, and he plays with confidence and vocal presence in center field.

In the outfield, he moves well and has a cannon for an arm. He is aggressive with his glove and has the ability to throw runners out from the gaps. On the mound, he works from a ¾ arm slot with a unique arm action. He locates his curveball well and throws a fastball with arm-side run and downhill angle. His fastball touched 85, and with more drive down the mound, there’s potential for even more velocity. He can throw inside to righties with confidence.

At the plate, Sawyer consistently hits the ball hard. He has real pop, and when he finds the barrel, it’s loud. His offensive profile fits a middle-of-the-order bat.

On the bases, Sawyer is fast and a legitimate threat. He gets good jumps, reads pitchers well, and can steal at will.
