Tyson Harjo is a hard-working and versatile athlete who can contribute at both catcher and third base, with his primary position and greatest impact coming behind the plate. As a catcher, he demonstrates strong leadership, consistently calling an effective game and managing his pitchers well. He sets up in a traditional catcher’s stance, showing sound fundamentals and a reliable presence.

Tyson is a gritty backstop with excellent blocking skills, very few balls get past him. His defensive awareness and quick reactions help control the running game, while his high baseball IQ allows him to anticipate plays before they develop. Whether it’s receiving, blocking, or game management, Tyson plays with focus, toughness, and a commitment to getting better every day.

Offensively, Tyson hits for both average and power to all fields. For his size, he generates impressive pop, consistently driving line drives into the gaps and to the wall. As he continues to mature physically, he projects to drive balls over the fence with regularity. He is a tough out at the plate, rarely finding himself in two-strike counts. When he does, he makes smart adjustments, widening his stance and spoiling pitches until he gets one he can drive.

On the bases, Tyson is sneaky fast with a high baseball IQ. He takes calculated risks to secure extra bases and applies constant pressure on pitchers by extending his leads. His instincts, aggressiveness, and awareness turn him into an unexpected threat in the running game.
