Formal Invite: The 2025 Northwest Summer League (Upperclassman)

Your athlete’s questionnaire for the 2025 Northwest Summer League has been accepted or how the athlete played in the 2024 NW Summer League earned them a roster spot in 2025.

Please let me know if you accept the position and invitation to the Northwest Summer League by email by within two weeks of the invitation.

Baseball tournaments for 9U-18U in the Pacific Northwest conclude on July 20, 2025 and resume on September 6, 2025. This leaves a gap for many players to play baseball from July 21st - September 7th. The Northwest Summer League (Upperclassman) will provide incoming high school players an additional games (9 - 7 inning games) during the summer and practices, giving players additional innings of baseball against top players in the Northwest.

Positions for the Northwest Summer League:

  • Catchers - 4

  • First Baseman - 3

  • Middle Infielders - 6

  • Third Baseman - 3

  • Outfielders - 9

  • Pitcher Only - Varies

    • A smaller roster provides significant playing time for each athlete on the roster.

The Northwest Summer League will be for individual players only; it will not be for teams (club/organizations) to participate. Lastly, the Northwest Summer League will not be affiliated with a youth baseball club or youth baseball organization. It will be coached/instructed by Division I-III college coaches only at their respective team camps.

The Northwest Summer League is not intended to replace Baseball Northwest Northwest Championships, PAC NW, or Prep Baseball Report events in late July and August. The schedule has been developed to help athletes be prepared for these events.

Verbal Commitments: Since 2022, there are have been 65+ athletes on the NW Summer League rosters that have committed to colleges and universities. The commitments have varied from Vanderbilt University to Mt. Hood Community College. Additionally, in 2024, 35% of the Oregon 6A All-State players have played for the NW Summer League.

Northwest Summer League Goals:

  • Provide incoming high school players an opportunity for exposure needed to advance to the next level.Bring high level baseball players to universities located in the Pacific Northwest.

  • Provide high school players a college experience by playing on Division 1 college fields and to be coached/instructed by Division I-III college coaches.

  • Provide players high quality baseball practices in the Pacific Northwest (Upperclassman: eight practices/16 hours of practice between the Spring and Fall Seasons).

  • Provide players high quality baseball games in the Pacific Northwest

  • Reduce the cost for families who travel out of state to play baseball during the summer.

  • Provide playing time for players to properly prepare for Prep Baseball Report, Baseball NW (BBNW) Northwest Championships and/or USA Baseball events.

  • Provide the opportunity for top players to play with/against each other.

The Northwest Summer League will not interfere with PAC NW Regional Games and will not interfere with Prep Baseball Report (PBR) Junior Futures Games or with the PBR Future Games at LakePoint Sports Complex in Emerson, GA.

The Northwest Summer League Fee:

  • $2,500 - Position Player/Pitcher Only - $1,500/Practice Player - $1,000:

New For 2025:

  • Additional Division 2 - Community College coaching staff at practices and games

    • With the change in the 34 roster spots in 2025, we will add more additional opportunities for recruiting adding college coaches to practice and games.

    • The increase in rates will largely be allocated to the additional coaching staff

  • Additional gear will be added to the player package

  • Additional recruiting support

  • Player/Parent agreement regarding attendance in 2025

Payment:

  • A payment plan will be set up over the course of the Winter thru Spring. A $800 non-refundable deposit will be required to secure a roster spot.
